EU mentoring scheme IS interpreters: apply by 24 January

The European Commission in cooperation with EUD is organizing for the 2nd time a mentoring opportunity for International Sign interpreters. The mentoring will take place on the premises of the EC in Brussels (tbc) in the weeks of 28 March, 25 April or 2 May, and 13 June. The dates are to be confirmed. National sign language interpreters (deaf and hearing) with a conversational fluency in IS can apply.

Closing event SCIC mentoring scheme for International Sign interpreters

On 26 January the European Commission is presenting the closing event of their first SCIC mentoring scheme for International Sign interpreters: ‘Accessibility through sign language interpreting.’

You can follow the public event online from 10.00 - 12.00 CET

I am excited to present as the coordinator of the program together with presenters from the European Commission, EUD, EUDY and interpreter colleagues. Thank you to SCIC for making this first mentoring scheme possible, and for my dedicated group of mentees, and all of those who have shared their knowledge and expertise as mentors and presenters during the past 12 months.
