Summary Keynote efsli 2026 conference

 I was honored to be invited by the efsli scientific committee to give a keynote presentation at the 2026 conference of the European Forum of Sign Language Interpreters (efsli) in Zagreb, Croatia. The presentation “Think! Critical Reflections & Collective Actions. Training Signed Language Interpreters & Translators in Europe” is based on the results of the 2025 European wide survey on the status of the signed language interpreting profession in Europe.

Many approached me afterwards and asked if I could share my slides. The slides need some context, so I have made a summary in International Sign in five parts. Starting 1 November 2026 I will publish here every week one of the five parts in International Sign and the accompanying slides.
