Registration open! 2nd seminar on sign language interpreting on TV & Media

On 20 November 2021 the second European seminar ‘Sign language interpreting on TV & Media’ will take place, this time online! Welcoming all sign language interpreters & translators (deaf and hearing) working with tv and media, on or behind the screen, as well as all professionals involved in this process: technicians, cameramen, programmers, trainers, managers, and others.

A special online event platform will open two weeks before the event, so you can set up your profile, meet other participants and start sharing and meeting. The platform will stay open till 6 months after the event.

The Covid-19 pandemic has seen an increase on sign language interpreters on TV and media. Also exposing the diversity of practices, guidelines, programs and tools for sign language interpreting and translating on tv and media. To learn from others, each invited presenter will share their expertise, followed by discussion and exchange of other practices with participants. Participants can also aim for a 5 minute presentation at the BarCamp presentation slot!

All participants are also welcome to join the pre-seminar presentation on Friday 19 November 19.30-21.00 CET. The online cafe will open already at 18.30 CET.
