MITS is hosting their second online seminar on 22 March from 10.00 - 14.00 CET. The seminar will tackle a pressing and fundamental topic: the rights and risks of signed language translation and Interpretation in the context of the EU legal framework.
The MITS Public Online Seminar, taking place on October 5th from 9:45 AM to 13:00 PM, will focus on deaf persons in conflict zones and humanitarian crises, with particular emphasis on the role of sign language interpreters in these contexts.
Two expert speakers, Peninnah Vulimu and Herbert Klein, will present their fieldwork experiences.
“The integration of social-haptic communication in deafblind interpreting and educational settings”, which will be held on the 4th and 5th of September 2023 in person in Aula Magna Silvio Trentin, Ca’ Dolfin, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and on Zoom.
The conference aims at gathering international and national expertise around the integration of social-haptic communication in the practice of deafblind interpreting and in deafblind learning environments.

The Congress of the World Federation of the Deaf will take place from 11 - 15 July in Jeju, South Korea.
The 2022 edition "Plurilingualism: between diversity and universality" which will be held in Cadiz, Spain, wishes to highlight the deep issues of plurilingualism and the areas of fracture, both conceptual, cultural, mental, and social and territorial.
The efsli 2022 conference “#Awkward” is hosted by ASLI, the Association of Sign Language Interpreters in the UK. It will take place on 3 & 4 September 2022 in Manchester, UK.

Special Thematic Session (STS) at the scientific conference ICCHP-AAACE 2022 (July) in Lecco, Italy: ‘Language Accessibility for the Deaf and Hard-Of-Hearing’. The session invites contribution on all aspects of the accessibility, usability, and intelligence of ICT-based systems and applications that make spoken language and translation more accessible.

Deafblind International (DbI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of Kenya and other partners is organizing the 1st DbI Africa Conference which will be held at the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE) in Nairobi, Kenya from Thursday12th to Saturday 14th May 2022.
The conference theme is: “Deafblind Reality in Africa: Meeting the Sustainable Development Goals – Opportunities and Challenges”.
The eighth webinar of CEFR Webinar Series 2021 entitled "Action-oriented Inclusive Plurilingual Sign Language Education: Mediation” will take place on 10 December 2021 from 16.00 until 18.00 CET.

The 2021 conference of the European Forum of Sign Language Interpreters (efsli) will take place in Cluj, Romania. This conference was originally planned to take place in 2020.
The focus of this year’s conference is on the challenges and opportunities opening up in this evolving T&I landscape, specifically during this time of insecurity and rapid change experienced by the profession in the past months.
